Hey, hey everybody I am back from a fun and exciting International Quilt Market. This Spring, Quilt Market was held in Kansan City, Missouri. We had such a wonderful time and appreciate everyone who stopped by our booth. It was so nice getting to know all of you!
This season we had a beautiful and eye-catching booth. It had the perfect mix of both modern and reproduction collections!
One of the hottest new collections this season was Bella by Lotta Joansdotter. Bella was Lotta’s second fabric collection and once again a hit! I personally love her stylish mix of simple pattern design and fresh colors.
Moonstruck by Whistler Studios and Multidot by French Bull and Jackie Shapiro were two other very cool, modern collections that I just adored! I loved the huge colorful polka-dots in the Mutlidot collection. I can think of so many great projects for those lovely large dots such as a hip apron, fun throw pillows, or a stylish duet cover.
Here is a picture of me with Mabelle the Mouse from the Toy Tales collection. This charming character is featured in Melanie’s craft book “Sewn Toy Tales, 12 Fun Characters to Make and Love”.
Good Vibrations by Whistler Studios
Good Vibration was the ideal collection for all you music lover out there. I just love this quilt with its hip keyboard border.
We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Common Threads Quilting on the Women of Courage Block of the Month. The ladies did a fabulous Schoolhouse showcasing the quilt as well as other terrific projects you can make with collection!
I just loved these cute patchwork pin cushion made with the Orchard House collection.
In total, the show was a great experience and an even better success. So glad I had the opportunity to be there and take in all the creative vibes first hand.
I would like to end this blog entry by giving credit to the whole Windham Fabrics team. Without the amazing efforts from the entire staff we would have not been able to have such a wonderful and successful show!
